Coating-grade CMC should be stored in a dry and well-ventilated environment. Humidity has a great impact on its quality. High humidity environment easily makes CMC damp, which in turn causes agglomeration and affects its solubility and performance. The relative humidity of the warehouse is best controlled below 60%, and the humidity can be adjusted by installing dehumidification equipment or ventilation equipment.

Temperature is also an important factor affecting the storage of coating-grade CMC. It is suitable for storage at room temperature, and the general temperature range is controlled between 5℃ - 35℃. Too high temperature may accelerate its chemical changes and reduce its performance; too low temperature may cause CMC's physical state to change, harden, etc. For example, in hot summer, pay attention to cooling measures to avoid direct sunlight on the warehouse; in cold winter, if the indoor temperature is too low, appropriate warming measures can be taken.

During storage, care should also be taken to prevent contact with harmful substances. Coating-grade CMC should not be stored together with chemicals such as acids and alkalis, because these chemicals may react with CMC, change its chemical structure, and thus affect its use effect.

The integrity of the packaging should not be ignored. CMC is usually packaged in bags. During storage and transportation, it is necessary to ensure that the packaging bags are well sealed to prevent air and moisture from entering the packaging bags and causing product deterioration.

At the same time, material management should be carried out according to the first-in-first-out principle to ensure that the CMC that enters the warehouse first is used first to reduce the risk of performance degradation due to long-term storage.
